Just checking to see if any of you are planning on running the at Cowtown Raceway in Ft. Worth the 12th-14th? As far as I know, Nate and I are going down from here and a couple other guys from Garden City are going.
The track is a big 1/4 and they are having midgets and modifieds along with out class. http://www.cowtownspeedway.com/
Payout is $1500 to win and 150 to start the A Entry by the 7th of Feb is $50.00 and everyone is paid at least $50 if you start a race.
Talk to you all later, Chad

Just incase someone needs to know, thought I would throw this out that if you read the rules of ASCS2 then you have to have a bladder and a 1-way radio. I called and they said for this race no bladders are required and the radio's are rented for $20.00 if needed. The radio's are for the track to communicate with the drivers for lineups which is a great idea for the bigger races. Chad

Just thought I would let you know too that I am pretty sure you have to run a ASCS2 right rear tire.

Update : Chad Mcdaniel finished 3rd in midgets with a great run last night
As for our class we got one 8 lap heat in yesterday and got shut down last night at 1:00 before our qualifiers. Lots of hurry up and wait!!! Track rubbered down during midget main and looked to be fun in main until they shut it down. Nate and I both were moving forward in our heats and so far looking at a good shot at the A if no problems today. This is a big track that would probably be at least 3/8 on the outside but super wide so adds up for some great racing. Practice lap times had outlaw 600's with the quickest lap times and then midgets and modifieds were about 2 seconds behind. Last night the non wing main was rubbered down and burning lap times that were insane High 12's low 13's.

whoops midgets were just behind us in lap times. My phrasing sounded like they were with the mods.

Day 2 was a little chili but still decent racing.
I finished 12th in the A main that was like a sheet of ice , Nate couldn't quite get the car hooked till the last couple laps of the B and ended up about half a car out of the A. Wished the track would have been like friday but they still had a heck of a battle between sawyer and j-rock (jarred wilson) till the last couple laps and sawyer took it home to the win.
McDaniel was movin on up in the midgets but got in a jam with a car and had to go to the back, but still moved up past quite a few in the short time he had.

I made it down also and drove a friend of a friends car. When I got there I found out the guy had left the car but took all the shocks and tires. So I raced it as is and made adjustments on the car as I could. As you can see from Chad's posting, the track was on both end of the extremes. Rubber down to tight to glass slick. There were many trips running from the track back to the car to make adjustments prior to our races. During the B mains on saturday, there was a bad rut/bump coming out of turn 2, halfway through the race it decided to grab my chain and tear it off.
Had a lot of fun anyway and it was better than shoveling the snow up here! Got to get serious and buy a car now.
