Jayhusker Banquet

The 2008 Jayhusker awards banquet will be held saturday October 25 at the Jefferson county fairgrounds in Fairbury Ne. The 4h building just off of turn 1 at the Jefferson Co. Speedway will be the spot. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. All paid members will receive 2 free meal passes, anyone extra will be charged 7 dollars per person. We will also have some special guests for the evening.

Please contact your class rep so I can get a head count for the meal by Oct.8th. If you have any questions you can contact me.

We would like to show a slide/video show of the events of this last year with Jayhuskers. However, we only have a bunch of pictures of Nate, and I am sure you have seen as much of him as you want. Sooooo......We need you to send us pictures that you have taken through out the year so we can show your pictures at the banquet.

If you don't send us a picture, we won't be able to show you.

Please submit digital pictures, digital videos (I hope it will work....sometimes have a incompatibility problem), or you can send an actual photo in the mail and we can scan it. Please submit them by October 18 so it gives Nate a week to work on them. We will return all photos at the banquet, or mail them to you if you are not able to attend.

We have some good footage of some wrecks, in car videos, but need much more. If we get enough good stuff, we may make it available on DVD's or at least on the Jayhusker website.

Remember, Jayhuskers is much more than a bunch of race cars. It is a great group of people....a great racing family that helps each other all the time. So include pictures of pit crews, families, track workers and others.

Also, if anybody has any pictures of the early days of Jayhusker or any Jayhusker past champions, or anything else pertaining to Jayhusker, like building some of the tracks, building cars, flagmen, announcers, scorekeepers, and etc, Please send them or give us more ideas.

Please tell us what or who the pictures are so we can put a caption on the pictures.
